The "Greene-ing" of MariZen

While his ex-band mate Mike Brezen is still trying to resurrect their ill-fated pop/rock alma mater V-90, Mike Greene says he refuses to look back. Greene sent an e-mail announcing that he has retired the bass he once slapped in V-90 in favor of playing guitar for the year-old Chicago power-pop band MariZen.

Greene wrote that he has been rehearsing with MariZen for more than a month and will make his public debut with the group tonight at The Elbo Room (2871 N. Lincoln Ave.), Chicago.

The band plans to start recording a full length CD in the spring after returning from a California trip in May, where they will guest on a three-song demo recording by drummer Matt Sorum (of The Cult and Guns 'N Roses fame). More information: www.MariZen.com.
